Montreal, Canada, January 30, 2009—StreamTheWorld, a media streaming technology and services company that provides streaming video and audio content solutions to broadcasters worldwide, has appointed Jean-Philippe Gauthier as Vice President, Strategy, Products and Partnerships

His 14 years of experience in growing businesses, teambuilding and improving company performance in the information technology industry is the type of skill set our clients value and why they rely on us for their content streaming needs.”
For the past two years, Jean-Philippe has been Vice President, Operations and Product Development at GESCA, Cyberpresse.ca where, among other accomplishments, he led a move to cross-platform content integration. Other achievements include: increasing the average time spent per visitor (thereby positioning Cyberpresse.ca as one of the best news sites in the world); re-launching a classified web site and the first iPhone interface in Canada: and conceiving and delivering the major projects of GESCA Digital. He also won the best banner campaign of the year at the Boomerang Awards (Awards for the Quebec Interactive Marketing Industry) for the idea of a RSS banner with news being automatically refreshed.
Previous to his position at Cyberpresse.ca, he was the General Manager of the Canadian portal Sympatico.MSN.ca. He also worked in various Management capacities at Bell Canada, Bell ActiMedia and Bell Interactive. In each position, he built strong teams, improved both the top and bottom line and developed and implemented innovative products and strategies
Jean-Philippe has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Concordia University, and has furthered his education through the executive courses Finance for the Senior Executive, MIT and Marketing for the Consumer, Kellogg School of Management.
