(February 2, 2009 – Toronto, Canada) Corus Entertainment is proud to announce that it has partnered with StreamTheWorld to deliver its 52 radio stations on a Corus iPhone application. Listeners can now enjoy all Corus radio stations anytime, anywhere – the first Canadian radio broadcaster to feature a native iPhone streaming application.

This easy-to-use application is fully compatible with iPhone and iPod touch. Listeners can search Corus stations either by call letters or by city. The “shake the shuffle” feature allows the user to shake the device and be offered a random Corus radio station. The application also leverages the Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) codec, enhancing the listening experience at the lowest data consumption.

The Corus Radio application launched at sixth position in the iPhone Top Free Applications for music. Listeners can visit the App Store at the iTunes store, select Music Category and click on Corus Radio in the right hand column.
