Ensemble Pour Haïti

Montreal, January 22, 2010 — With the eyes of the world riveted on earthquake-ravaged Haiti, StreamTheWorld is joining the relief effort by offering broadcasters participating in Ensemble Pour Haïti, a benefit concert, the opportunity to stream the event.

Dozens of Quebec’s best-known soloists, duos, and groups will join voices in Ensemble Pour Haïti on Friday, January 22, 2010, at 8:00 p.m. Numerous other actors and personalities will volunteer at call centers to accept donations pledged by phone, Internet, text message, or Illico. All funds raised by the concert will be given to organizations working in Haiti, such as the Red Cross or CECI (Centre d'étude et de coopération internationale).

While the concert will be simulcast at several gathering places in Montreal, a much larger universe of potential donors will be able to view it online at websites such as; MusiquePlus, MusiMax, TV5, Astral Média Radio and Corus Québec.

“Ensemble Pour Haïti represents an outstanding response by Quebec’s entertainment and media communities,” said Yves Eric Laliberté, StreamTheWorld’s CEO “Offering our clients the ability to stream the concert at no cost is our way of contributing to the relief effort, and we encourage StreamTheWorld’s business partners to also help survivors of this tragic event.”

StreamTheWorld partners and customers who wish to join the company in supporting the Haitian earthquake relief effort are urged to contact their local Red Cross chapters.
