Montreal, July 1 —StreamTheWorld, a leading technology and services company that is part of the Ando Media Group and serves online broadcasters, has signed Netherlands-based Sky Radio Group to its stable of broadcasters. As the Netherlands’ largest commercial radio outfit with nine radio stations—including its number one brand Sky Radio 101 FM—Sky Radio is an innovative and tech-savvy broadcaster.

According to Gert Jan Kole, Senior Project Manager for Sky Radio’s Interactive Media Division, “one of the reasons Sky Radio Group partnered with StreamTheWorld is to take advantage of its metadata tools that allow perfect syncing between audio stream and player activity in order to offer advertisers new interactive features and increase ad revenues.” Kole adds, “the migration towards the streaming platform was a flawless switchover, and listeners are very happy.”
Using StreamTheWorld’s tools, Sky Radio was able to launch an online player compatible with social networking platforms featuring ad banners synced in real time with audio spots. The aim of this new player is to boost the effectiveness and profitability of advertising efforts.
